Our investment into digital dental technology will make your treatment more comfortable, faster and less invasive.

We are proud to offer our patients the iTero Digital Scanner at no additional cost. This is an intraoral scanner which takes 3D images of your mouth and teeth within minutes preventing the need for messy and uncomfortable impressions.

This digital technology allows us to reduce your time in the dental chair, permits us to take digital images of your teeth and can even show you the potential results of orthodontic treatment.

How the iTero Digital Scanner Works

Our dentist will insert a small wand into your mouth and move it around for a few minutes. This handheld scanner captures thousands of pictures per second and this data is sent to the attached computer.  Within a few minutes a 3D replica of your teeth appears on the screen allowing us to see the precise position of your teeth and gums.

We use this 3D image to replace traditional moulds and impressions when doing treatment such as filings, inlays and onlays, crowns and bridgework. The scans can also be emailed to the laboratory if needed.

The iTero Scanner is especially effective for Invisalign treatment. It not only gives us the exact position of each of your individual teeth but it can also be used to show you the results of treatment before you start wearing your aligners.
